instructions

Potential clients will not be able to purchase the puppy directly off of the website. They will need to get into contact with me via email, WhatsApp or telephonic call to find out the price and availability of the puppy they are interested in.

Once the puppy has reached 8 weeks of age, the full total for the puppy has been paid and cleared and the sales agreement has been signed, the puppy will be released to the client.

Clients will be provided with the opportunity to purchase a fully customizable advanced starter kit off of the website should they be interested. Once the order has been placed, they will be sent an invoice alongside our banking details. An EFT payment needs to be made, and the payment needs to clear and reflect in our bank account after three days before the kit is put together. The advanced starter kit will be delivered at the same time as when the puppy is released to its new owner, along with the complimentary basic starter kit.

Our puppies go to their new homes when they are a minimum of 8 weeks old. The first vaccination is done at 6 weeks, the second one at 9 weeks and the third one at 12 weeks, and rabies at 12 to 16 weeks.

If our clients are based within a 50 km radius of Johannesburg we will happily deliver their puppy and starter kits to them free of charge. If, however they are further than the 50 km radius or are based in another province they will need to pay for transportation of their pet. We are happy to organize this with our trusted transportation partner, Foxcreek on the Move.

Sales agreement

1. The breeder confirms that the reason/s for requiring sterilization of the puppy is explained to the buyer before the transfer of ownership.

2. The buyer agrees to have the puppy sterilized at a registered and practising veterinarian by no later than six months of age.

3. The buyer agrees to be responsible for all costs involved in the sterilization of the puppy referred to above and agrees to forward a certificate of successful sterilization to the breeder by no later than 14 days after receipt of such certificates.

4. Only a valid certificate issued by a registered and practising veterinarian will be accepted as proof of sterilization.

5. The veterinarian performing the sterilization should agree to be contacted telephonically as a secondary confirmation that the actual sterilization was performed.

6. Neither the change of ownership of the puppy nor any other condition pertaining to the puppy changes the buyer's responsibility to sterilize the puppy, as set out in clauses 2,3 and 4 above.

7. The buyer agrees to ensure that the puppy meets all of its vaccination requirements (as per the booklet supplied by the breeder) and agrees to be held responsible for all of these costs.

8. The buyer agrees to provide proof to the breeder annually via email that the necessary vaccination requirements are being met yearly for the puppy. The buyer agrees that this will be done by providing the full details of the veterinarian who performed the required vaccination requirements together with a clear colour copy of the vaccination record section of the Callensby Jack Russell Terrier Breeding Kennels Veterinary and Ownership Booklet.

9. The buyer agrees to ensure that the puppy in question receives all necessary deworming and parasite prevention treatment at regular intervals and further agrees to be held responsible for all of these costs.

10. The buyer is required to notify the breeder of the death of the puppy when the time comes.

11. The buyer is not permitted to rehome the puppy should any unforeseen circumstances arise which necessitate this.

12. Should the above scenario arise at any point during the puppy's life, then the buyer of the puppy involved is required to inform the breeder immediately.

13. The breeder will then, at their own cost, organize transport to physically have the puppy returned to them after being informed of the buyer's inability to care, own or provide for the puppy any longer.

14. The breeder undertakes that all puppies sold, including the puppy named in this agreement, are to be certified as completely healthy with no ailments at their six-week veterinary check-up.

15. Should the puppy become ill and die due to natural causes or as a result of the buyer's actions, the breeder cannot be held liable and/or responsible and is therefore not required to provide the buyer with a new puppy or a refund of either medical costs or the sale price of the puppy.

16. The puppy has been microchipped with a Virbac microchip by the breeder’s veterinarian, Rant en Dal Animal Hospital in Krugersdorp. The buyer has been provided with the microchipping form, which they are required to complete with their details and submit to Virbac to finalize the microchipping registration process. Once this process is complete, the buyer is required to forward proof of the microchipping registration to the breeder.

A.  By signature of this agreement, the parties acknowledge and understand that this is a legally binding and enforceable document. Should the buyer fail to adhere to any of the agreed terms in this agreement, then the breeder has the right to contact the relevant authorities and have the puppy confiscated from the buyer and returned into their ownership.

B.  This agreement constitutes the sole agreement between the breeder and buyer regarding the conditions of the sale of the named puppy. Any cancellation or amendment to any portion of this agreement must be made in writing and signed by both parties.

C. In the event of the owner passing away, the breeder must be notified. If a single- member household passes away, the puppy in question needs to be returned to the breeder, who will then find a suitable and approved alternative home. If a multiple-member household is affected, the breeder must be informed of the owner's passing and provided with the details of the immediate family member who will assume ownership and continue to care for the puppy. The puppy may not be given away to a friend, extended family member, or a shelter. If the remaining immediate family members are unable to care for the puppy, the puppy must be returned to the breeder, who will then find a suitable and approved alternative home.
